A rating is a starting point, not a label
“Intermediate” can mean different things in different social groups. A badminton rating gives players a shared reference based on recorded results and their opponents. It is useful when looking for a competitive match, but it cannot capture every strength, injury or change in form.
Racket Ratings provides community ratings for people who participate on the platform. A Singapore leaderboard position is not a Singapore national selection ranking, a federation endorsement or a list of every player in the country.
How to view the Singapore rating leaderboard
- Open the badminton leaderboard from the link below.
- Choose the Rating view, rather than Ranking points.
- Use the country selector to choose Singapore. Check the selected country above the results; opening the sport page alone does not select Singapore.
- Select singles or the supported team format you play. Read the player profile and match history alongside the number.
Country ratings are separate competition pools. Do not treat a worldwide view as proof that equal numbers in different countries represent an identical level. The ranking-points view is global, not a Singapore-only table.
Why a new player may not appear among established players
The established rating ladder requires 10 rated matches in the relevant rating pool. Players with fewer results are provisional. A signup or an unrated social match is not the same as a rated result.
Glicko-2 also tracks uncertainty, called rating deviation. A short or old playing record gives less confidence than a recent, well-established one. Inactive players are shown separately after about six months without a rated match.
Rating, ranking position and tournament points are different
Your rating estimates playing strength and can rise or fall. Your ranking position is your place on the particular table you are viewing. Switching country or format changes the comparison group.
Tournament ranking points reward finishing positions in eligible, administrator-verified knockout events. They count within a rolling 365-day window from the event’s end date and expire after that window. They are not a permanent total and are not the Glicko-2 rating.
Tournament rating changes depend on the event’s rating settings and result processing. Guest and cross-country exhibition matches do not contribute to global ratings. A live scoreboard changing does not mean a rating has already been applied.
Use ratings to start a conversation
For a social session, compare recent records in the same country and format, then ask the organiser about pace, experience and expectations. Do not assume a singles rating describes a doubles partnership.
For a competition, check eligibility, location, entry conditions and registration status on the event page. Listing an event on the platform does not mean it is open to everyone or that it is a ranking event. If no suitable event is listed, ask your club about organising one rather than assuming the directory covers every Singapore competition.
This guide describes platform behaviour as of10 Sept 2026. Event rules and settings still govern each competition; ask the organiser before entering if anything is unclear.
